To a man whose sister had been killed

The thing that is the most humorous to your sister and to all of US relative to this is that you’re all seeing the worst possible thing that could happen to anyone as what you call, ‘death,’ which is an immediate, inevitable, delicious-beyond-description, closing of one’s gap.

In other words, in the what you call ‘death’ experience there is the withdrawal of your attention from those things we are trying to get you to not pay attention to? in other words, talk about deactivation of resistance, that’s what your death experience will do for you. It’ll deactivate the resistance, because you’re no longer focused here, you’re no longer beating the drum of that. And in the death experience there is NO separation between who you are and Who You ARE.

And so what an interesting society or societies that you live in, in these worlds, where someone does something, kills someone that you care about, and causes her to have an immediate re-emergence into pure positive energy. And you feel so bad about that, most of you, because you don’t understand it, that now you would like to give THAT person the death penalty. And we say, How odd that is. How odd that is. If you knew how delicious death is you wouldn’t give it to those buggers that you are so mad at. [audience laughter]
